Services

I serve south central WI. Please email or call for a consult if you live outside the area. I charge .50 mile beyond a 70 mile radius.

All sessions are dependent on the horses time frame. For first time clients, I always like to have more time for evaluation, and discussion.

Natural Hoof Trimming

I offer a natural trim based on the wild horse model, in the mode of Pete Ramey and Jaime Jackson. I typically like to consult with a first time client, and I request that they research natural hoof care so that we can converse more fluently (see my recommended reading, and links). Depending on the horse, a trim typically takes 30 minutes to an hour. I charge $40 minimum, per horse or per hour - whichever comes first. Sessions lasting longer than an hour are pro-rated at a dollar a minute.  I charge the same for drafts, and minis because I feel that I am offering education and knowledge, not just material removal.

Consultations

Consultations can be over the phone, at a dollar a minute. I offer a home/property visit for natural horsekeeping ideas based on what is available to you. I will also assess and advise on your horses hooves/diet/lifestyle per your request. $60/hour.

Horsemanship Lessons/Education

Providing private or small group lessons with your horse. I focus on building a relationship between you and your horse based on mutual trust and respect using communication, understanding and psychology. This is the foundation of anything you wish to do with your horse.  On the ground, and riding.

Private lesson, 1hr: $50

Two at a time, 1 hr $35 per person.

Bodywork sessions

Bodywork sessions can be Massage only, or a mixture or Massage and MFR (Myofascial Release) , or energy work only (I am a second degree Reiki practitioner) depending on the horses needs. I will take my time with the horses, I do not wish to offend them by rushing. I allow more time for new clients, as stated above. However, a typical bodywork session can usually be done in an hour's time, and includes a full assessment and recommendations. $65/hour, pro-rated beyond an hour.

Hay Analysis

I am a certified Hay Sampler by NFTA (National Forage Testing Association). I can take samples of your hay for content analysis, and send the samples to
Equi analytical (www.equi-analytical.com). I will advise you on most economical test for your requirements, and interpret your results. Cost of the lab test is $26.00 My price includes time/travel, labor, equipment and expertise, and is $50.
